The Story of Jeremy and Messina Wins 29th Annual Telly Award

A moving testimonial video titled “The Story of Jeremy and Messina” has been named a winner in the 29th Annual Telly Awards, an international competition that honors outstanding TV commercials and video productions. The competition receives more than 13,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.

The winning video debuted at New Hope Windward’s 2007 Christmas service and featured the life story of two beloved church members who beat the odds of their beleaguered lives through the grace of their Savior Jesus Christ. The highly emotional video not only touched hundreds of lives at Sunday service but has been featured on this very website intermittently to reach thousands more (see video posted on our homepage now).

“To win an award like this for Jeremy and Messina’s video is sweet icing on the cake at this point,” said New Hope Windward’s Senior Pastor Dave Barr. “We already knew that this video was a ‘winner’ based on the overwhelming response we received from those who had viewed it. It is a powerful thing to see lives changed through a relationship with Jesus and this video production told their story in such a unique and compelling way. As a church, we strive for excellence in all that we do because all that we do is in service to God.”

The video won a bronze Telly Award in the non-broadcast Religion/Spirituality category. New Hope Windward’s winning video was produced by Studio Red, a local video production firm. Mahalo to Studio Red for their quality work and to Jeremy and Messina for allowing us to share their powerful story.
